Pricing

Fixed fee, fixed scope, in writing before we start. Published figures below are starting points — your quote reflects your actual transaction volume and the work you need done, not a package tier.

Packages

Three ways to work together

Most clients start with a one-off catch-up, then move to a monthly retainer once the backlog is gone. Some go straight to monthly — that is fine too.

Books Sorted

One-off catch-up. For a set of books that has fallen behind.

From &X per engagement Scoped after a review of your records

  • Historical transaction capture and categorisation
  • Bank and card reconciliation
  • BAS preparation and lodgement support
  • Profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
  • A handover note so nothing is lost

Why no dollar figures? Because a price on a website is either a lie or a promise we cannot keep. Your fee depends on how many transactions you have, how many accounts, whether payroll runs, and how far behind you are. We review that, then quote a fixed number. That number does not move unless the scope changes — and if the scope changes, we tell you before we bill it.

Add-ons

One-off services, on top of a package

Sometimes you do not need a retainer — you need one thing done well. These are quoted individually, on scope.

What moves the price

Five factors. Once we know them, we can give you a number on the first call rather than the third.

  • Transaction volume — the number of transactions a month, not your turnover.
  • Number of accounts — bank, card, PayPal, Stripe, Xero, MYOB, and anything still on paper.
  • Payroll — whether we process it, and how many people.
  • How far behind you are — a twelve-month catch-up is different work from a single month.
  • Systems in use — a clean software setup is quicker than reconciling a spreadsheet someone built in 2019.

No lock-in

Monthly packages run on 30 days' notice. If the work stops being useful, you stop paying for it — and your records leave with you, in a format your next accountant can open.

Payment terms
Invoiced monthly in advance, payable within 7 days by bank transfer. A 50% deposit applies to one-off projects.

Questions

Pricing questions, answered

Why aren't there dollar figures on this page?

Because a published price cannot account for your transaction volume, your accounts, your payroll and how far behind you are. A cheap advertised rate that does not apply to you wastes your time. We review your situation, then give you one fixed number in writing — and hold to it.

What happens if my transaction volume changes?

We tell you before we re-quote. If your volume grows materially we will flag it at the next cycle and offer a revised fee rather than quietly billing more. If it shrinks, we will look at reducing the scope with you.

Do I need to switch my accounting software?

No. We work with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and a range of other platforms, and we are comfortable in a spreadsheet if that is genuinely where your business lives. If your setup is genuinely costing you time, we will tell you — but we are not going to sell you a platform you do not need.

What do you need from me?

Access to your bank feeds, a shared folder for receipts and invoices, and roughly 20 minutes a month answering questions. That is genuinely all. If a document is missing we will chase it once, clearly, and then carry on with the rest.

Do you charge for the first call?

No. The first 20-minute call is free and carries no obligation. If it turns out we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

Is my financial data secure?

Your records are accessed through least-privilege permissions, transmitted over encrypted connections, and never used to train third-party models. We use Australian-hosted systems where the option exists, and we are happy to walk you through exactly where your data sits.

Can I buy just one service?

Yes. Most of the add-ons above work as standalone engagements. A one-off tax worksheet or a BAS catch-up does not require a monthly retainer.

Who actually does the work?

The support team, with Kris reviewing the output before it reaches you. You will know who is on your account, and there is always one accountable person — Kris.
