About

Executive Support is built around one qualified accountant who stayed close to the work. Here is who, and what that means for you.

The founder

A qualified accountant who does the work, not just signs it off

Kris Racette founded Executive Support to give small business owners the support function they could not yet justify hiring — delivered with the rigour of a professional practice and the pace of a support team.

Kris holds a Master of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from UNSW and is a CPA Australia candidate, with three of six modules completed including Australia Taxation. The remaining modules are in progress — so we state that precisely rather than rounding up.

That combination shapes how the service runs. The books are prepared by the support team against a documented process, and Kris reviews the output — the reconciliations, the BAS, the worksheets — before anything reaches you. It is the difference between a data-entry service and an accounting function.

Credentials
  • CPA Australia — Candidate Three of six modules completed, including Australia Taxation. Candidate status — not yet a registered CPA.
  • Master of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) University of New South Wales. Advanced training across financial reporting, taxation, audit and corporate finance.
  • Practising knowledge of Australian tax treatment BAS and GST lodgement cycles, superannuation obligations, and the deduction rules that matter most to small businesses.
  • Brisbane-based, fully remote delivery Working with clients across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Queensland and interstate Australia.
On credentials, plainly: we say “CPA Australia candidate, three of six modules” because that is exactly the position. We are not a registered tax agent, we do not lodge returns on your behalf, and we do not give formal tax or financial advice. What we do is prepare accurate records and well-organised working papers for your registered agent — and build the process behind them so next year is easier.

How we work

Four principles we do not bend

These are not marketing lines. They are the actual terms of the engagement, and they are written into the quote.

01

Say the price first

The fee is on the quote, in writing, before any work starts. No hourly billing, no invoices that surprise you.

02

Flag judgement calls

When something needs your decision — a deduction, a treatment, a missing document — it gets raised with you, not buried in a file.

03

Show the source

Every figure in your reports traces back to a document. If we cannot evidence it, it does not go in the books.

04

Hand over cleanly

Your records leave in a format your next accountant can use, with instructions. No lock-in, no proprietary format.

The support team

People first, tools second

Executive Support is a small, senior team. You get the support team working on your files, with Kris accountable for the output — and a set of tools doing the repetitive parts so the people can do the thinking parts.

We use AI deliberately and transparently. It is genuinely good at classification, extraction, drafting and reconciliation support — the high-volume, low-judgement work that used to consume a junior bookkeeper's whole week. It is not good at deciding whether a deduction is defensible, and we do not ask it to.

Every automated output is reviewed by a person before it reaches your records, your BAS or your clients. That is the operating standard, and it is the reason we can work quickly without working loosely.

Where AI helps

  • Categorising transactions and receipts
  • Extracting data from invoices and statements
  • Drafting copy, agendas and first-pass documents
  • Matching records and flagging anomalies

Where a person decides

  • Tax treatment and deductions
  • Reconciliation differences
  • Anything going to the ATO
  • Anything going to a client
